Family First are a Christian Charity working in Ipswich, Suffolk.
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated person for this self-employed role supporting families in Ipswich. Managing a small case load, a Family Worker is trained to work with families by listening, helping them find solutions to their challenges and bringing hope into their lives. They would use an empowerment-based approach to help the family meet their goals and may work alongside or signpost to other agencies to ensure a holistic approach to best support the families.
The Family Worker must ensure a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
Interviews will be held on Monday 25th November.
The Family Worker would commit to attending initial training prior to starting the role and any ongoing training identified by them or their Family Coordinator.
Duties
* Conduct assessments of clients' needs, strengths, and challenges to develop tailored support plans.
* Collaborate with schools, healthcare providers, and community organisations to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
* Advocate for clients' rights and access to services, ensuring they receive the necessary assistance.
* Maintain accurate records of client interactions, progress notes, and case management documentation.
* Stay informed about local resources, services, and legislation affecting children and families.
Qualifications
* Experience working with vulnerable families
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* A commitment to ongoing professional development and training.

The ideal candidate would be available to work the 6-8 hours across Mondays and Wednesdays but some flexibility can be granted.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From £11.44 per hour
Expected hours: 6 – 8 per week
