Job summary Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board is looking to recruit an ambitious and experienced senior operational leader to join as the Directorate Manager for Integrated Medicine within the Unscheduled Care Group. The Directorate Manager is responsible for operational and performance management, service quality and planning, resource use and modernisation. As such they are responsible, along with the Clinical Director and Head of Nursing for the leadership, direction and financial control of services. Contributing to and ensuring the delivery of strategic and operational service objectives set by the Board and the Health Board Executives. This post is a fixed term/secondment for 12 months to cover maternity leave. Main duties of the job As the post holder, you will provide visible leadership, direction, and financial control of the delegated budgets. You will have a proven track-record in managing highly complex services which involve engaging and collaborating staff at all levels across a range of professional and organisational boundaries. You will be a part of the Leadership team for Unscheduled Care Group and you will be required to work with the other Directorate Managers to maximise outcomes for our population. Equally you will have significant knowledge and experience of operational leadership, change management, quality and service improvement and clinical governance as well; as working with internal and external partners to develop and deliver services. You will possess the necessary passion, energy, and credibility to lead, support and develop services and our people. You will set and encourage the achievement of standards of excellence in managerial practice and lead the promotion of an open and accountable culture that enables high standards of service and quality improvement and organisational learning through collaborating across the Health Board. You will do this by promoting and role modelling the Health Board values and behaviours through strong, compassionate leadership and engagement.
