WHAT TO EXPECT Accessories operates as an independent function within JLR, delivering a wide range of products designed to enhance and optimize the client experience of our vehicles. The Accessories Product Efficiency Lead Engineer will report to the Accessories Attributes Manager and collaborate closely with JLR Vehicle Engineering, Compliance, and Certification teams. This role ensures that Accessories’ impact aligns with JLR brand identities and global compliance standards. The ideal candidate will have a passion for quality, continuous improvement, and innovation, striving for excellence in both products and operational practices for internal and external stakeholders. Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities • Define robust attribute targets through stakeholder collaboration and vehicle/product benchmarking. • Act as the key liaison between Accessories and core teams, including Product Efficiency and Compliance. • Plan and deliver data inputs for Accessories programmes and other affected vehicle programmes. • Optimize development and DV test activities using cost-effective tools and simulation technologies. • Report attribute status through clear and robust documentation to support programme gateways. WHAT YOU’LL NEED • Proven experience in vehicle engineering with expertise in Weights, Aerodynamics, and Efficiency. • Knowledge of Vehicle Efficiency processes, methodologies, and global certification disciplines (e.g., WLTP, CLTC, EPA, etc.). • Experience defining and delivering attribute targets using data-driven approaches. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with expertise in standard methodologies. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with knowledge of project management fundamentals.
