Procurement Manager Salary: £48000-£53000, DOE Location: Sutton, Surrey. Job Type: Full-time - Permanent - 36 hours a week. We are seeking a Procurement Manager to join our clients Procurement Team with a focus on Estates and Facilities categories. The role involves formal tendering, leveraging frameworks, and contributing to the implementation of the organisation’s Procurement Strategy. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, particularly within the public sector, and be adept at stakeholder management and project prioritisation. Day to Day of the role: Take responsibility for formal tendering and purchasing for assigned categories. Develop market knowledge and apply this to understand customer requirements, identifying opportunities for innovation and savings. Utilise commercial intelligence to execute category opportunities. Manage customer relationships to drive efficiencies and establish communication plans with key stakeholders. Lead on Supplier Relationship & Contract Management, including performance improvement and savings initiatives. Interface with Trade Associations and industry forums as appropriate. Maintain up-to-date contract registers and provide expert procurement advice. Ensure compliance with Public Contract Regulations and adhere to best practices. Analyse spend data to inform future procurement strategies and manage relationships with service providers to ensure value for money. Mentor team members and prioritise workload to achieve team goals. Maintain confidentiality and accurate accounting records. Required Skills & Qualifications: Public Sector Experience. Proven experience in managing end-to-end tenders. Knowledge of the Procurement Act 2024 or willingness to learn quickly. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritise workload. Strong stakeholder management skills. Not solely a strategist but someone who can progress with minimal supervision. Friendly and approachable demeanour to effectively engage with stakeholders.
