Job Description for Front Office Role at Moxy & Residence Inn Slough
We are the first dual-branded property in Slough, operating two hotels within one building! Residence Inn by Marriott offers extended stay accommodations with suites featuring more space and fully equipped kitchens. Our guests, the Maximizers, seek to maximize their stay, and we support that with services like grocery shopping, complimentary breakfast, and local guidance.
At ATTHEMOXY, we create a free-spirited environment where guests can enjoy unique experiences and connect with like-minded individuals, our Fun Hunters. Our amenities include speedy Wi-Fi, comfortable beds, a lively bar, and a versatile crew capable of serving as bartenders, greeters, front desk attendants, and problem solvers.
Responsibilities
* Be knowledgeable about hotel facilities, services, and promotions to enhance guest experience and sales.
* Understand and promote the rewards program, enrolling new members.
* Anticipate guest needs, respond courteously and helpfully to requests.
* Operate front office systems, including Property Management and POS systems.
* Manage billing accurately, handle transactions, and report discrepancies.
* Maximize room sales opportunities based on availability.
* Pass messages promptly and accurately to guests.
* Have good knowledge of the local area for guest inquiries.
* Operate the hotel switchboard efficiently.
* Display positive service attitude and cross-train in other departments as needed.
* Assist with luggage, deliveries, and manual handling tasks.
Candidate Requirements
* Right to work in the UK.
* Numeracy, literacy, and IT skills.
* Customer service and cash handling experience.
* Previous hotel experience preferred.
* Teamwork and strong communication skills.
* Ability to stand for long periods and work flexible hours, including early, late, and occasional night shifts.
* Self-motivated and proactive attitude.
