Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in a care home or home care setting, ensuring their comfort and wellbeing. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to implement care plans and assist with daily activities, fostering a supportive environment for all residents.
Duties
* Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Support individuals in daily living activities such as meal preparation and feeding.
* Communicate effectively with residents to understand their needs and preferences.
* Help implement and monitor care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
* Maintain accurate records of patient care and progress using IT systems.
* Drive residents to appointments or social activities as required.
* Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all residents.
* Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
* Strong communication skills in English are necessary for effective interaction with residents and team members.
* Ability to drive is advantageous for transporting residents when needed.
* Familiarity with IT systems for record keeping is beneficial.
* A caring attitude with a commitment to providing high-quality support to individuals in need.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Zero hours contract
Pay: £22,880.00-£23,675.00 per year
