Do you have experience working in the property industry as an Assistant Property Accountant and are looking for a part-time role between 20-24 hours a week?
JMF have partnered with a well-established property company based in Sutton who are looking for an Assistant Property Accountant to join on a 12-month fixed-term contract with a possible extension.
Duties:
1. Raising Invoices
2. Allocating receipts
3. Posting supplier invoices
4. Running figure reports for team meetings weekly
5. Completing/activating tenancies
6. Transferring deposits to deposit account
7. Processing statements and payments
8. Updating contracts and ending contracts
9. Process banking at month end
10. Month end reports
11. Client balance reports monthly
12. Running monthly bank statement at the end of each month for the whole month's transactions
13. Monthly bank reconciliations
14. Process payments to suppliers monthly
15. Email remittance advices to suppliers monthly
16. Filing invoices for audit purposes
17. Filing charges and renewal sheets for audit purposes
18. Raising charges for period statements (annually)
19. Processing NRL tax payments quarterly to HMRC
20. Paying HMRC NRL tax
21. Completing NRL6 forms annually
22. Issuing refunds
23. Drafting form and covering letters
24. Maintaining the suppliers' public liability insurance
Skillset:
1. Must have previous experience in a similar role in the property industry.
2. Familiarity with drafting legal notices, NRL tax processes, and lettings administration is essential.
3. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with landlords, tenants, and contractors.
5. Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
6. Knowledge of current rental legislation and compliance requirements is a plus.
Hours: 20-24 hours per week flexible on days and times
Salary: £40,000 pro rata
