Job summary This is an exciting opportunity to join the Paediatric Psychology service based at Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will join an enthusiastic and supportive paediatric psychology department. This is a dynamic and varied role which will include inpatient and outpatient assessment and therapy with children and young people presenting with a range of medical conditions. You will work closely with psychologists working in the paediatric multi-specialty service, and also with multi-disciplinary teams within the Great North Children's hospital. We welcome applications from both experienced Psychologists and those who have recently qualified. Regular supervision from a qualified clinical psychologist will be provided and there will be opportunities to learn from other members of the team. The Paediatric Health Psychology Service is committed to child and family centred care and is part of the wider department of Psychology in Healthcare, enabling collaboration and support with adult psychology and neuropsychology colleagues. There are also close links with the Doctorate Clinical Psychology course at Newcastle and Teesside Universities.
