Salary: £24,500 - £27,000 (dependent on experience); competitive benefits package
The Tyndale House library is seeking to recruit a self-motivated, enthusiastic library assistant to help maintain our world-class research collection and deliver excellent library services to our readers and research staff.
Tyndale House is a renowned institute for biblical studies. It aims to grow an international research community, to present the value of the Bible at the highest academic level, to resource the Church to understand and trust the Bible, and to promote informed attitudes to the Bible.
The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service experience and preferably some library experience, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to operate both independently and as part of a small team. They will be able to work efficiently and accurately as they carry out the day-to-day administration of the library service and will have a pleasant, helpful approach in their interaction with readers and other service users. They should also ideally have an interest in biblical studies and be able to demonstrate a willingness to engage with the community life at Tyndale House. The role will involve some general reception duties, and the successful candidate will be prepared to work flexibly to meet the needs of a small organisation.
