We are seeking a detail-orientated Prescription Clerk to support the Practice team by being the first point of contact to resolve prescription queries. Use clinical systems and follow practice protocols and processes to contribute to the safe prescribing and monitoring of medications.
Job Duties:
* Process Repeat Prescription Requests
* Process end of month PPA claim
* Liaise with clinicians to resolve any prescription related problems that may arise
* Liaise with local pharmacies, patients and other third parties to resolve any prescription related problems that may arise
* Process Medication Requests from Care Homes
* Organising Repeat Dispensing for suitable patients
* Participate in a continuous review process to ensure practice protocols are up-to-date and the team are working as efficiently and effectively as possible.
* Work as part of a team focusing on continuous improvement to streamline working processes and improve efficiency.
Skills & Experience:
* Experience of EMIS Web
* Able to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities
* Able to identify areas for improvement in own work and across the practice
* Able to work independently to organise own time and ensure workload is managed
* Uses attention to detail to solve problems
* Experience in a primary care setting or a similar role within healthcare would be beneficial.

Pay: £11.44 per hour
