The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Bolton area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 1 Yard Shunters to join the team on days or nights.
Shift: Days- 5 out of 7 shifts a week across Monday to Sunday (weekends included).
Hours: 11am – 19:30pm
Job Type: Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent for the right candidate.
The role:
1. Operate Class 1 vehicles to move trailers and containers within the yard.
2. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the safe operation of equipment.
3. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and other team members.
4. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations at all times.
5. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the yard.
6. Assist with other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
1. Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C&E).
2. Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
3. No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
4. Full understanding of WTD legislation.
5. Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
