This is a hybrid role where you’ll work from the office 2-3 days per week. You will also be required to be on-call for set weekly rotations.

How you’ll change it up
CityFibre installs and operates a large number of Micro-Edge Datacentres (FEX) and Fibre Active Cabinets (FAC) across the UK. As our M&E Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the development and delivery of our colocation, datacentre and FEX/FAC portfolio using skills that include design, vendor management, financial modelling, facility, and project management. Day to day, this is some of what you can expect to be doing:
1. Supporting on architecture design, feasibility, and cost studies
2. Implementing the M&E FEX/FAC lifecycle
3. Implementing the strategy around monitoring
4. Acting as the point of escalation for network issues from tier 3 and engineering
5. Managing key vendor relationships
What you’ll bring to the role
You’ll have excellent mechanical and electrical datacentre design and operation experience, as well as the following:
6. Strong communication skills
7. Good vendor management experience
8. 18th Edition Certificate
