Job summary We currently have a permanent full time post available to offer a suitable candidate on our Haematology/Oncology inpatient ward. The post requires an enthusiastic, innovative Registered Nurse. Previous Oncology and Haematology experience is essential, full training will be given. As a junior member of the team you will be allocated a preceptor and proactively supported to develop to a senior staff nurse. You will develop your skills in Oncology and Haematology nursing and complete your chemotherapy training. To effectively lead and be responsible for the ward team and clinical care carried out in a designated area in the absence of and in conjunction with the Ward Manager & Deputy Sister/Deputy Charge Nurse. To work in close liaison with the Ward Manager, Deputy Sister/Deputy Sister Charge Nurse, Matrons, Practice Development Team ( PDT) and the Multidisciplinary Team to provide the highest quality of assessment and evaluated care required to support each patient in their care pathway and improve the patient experience. Maintain clinical credibility and disseminate knowledge.
