A Maintenance Manager is needed to lead a team and oversee all maintenance activities in a manufacturing environment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Maintenance Operations & Asset Management:
o Lead and manage daily operations of the maintenance department.
o Implement and manage PPM programs to minimize reactive downtime.
o Oversee the maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment and building systems.
o Coordinate and supervise contractors carrying out maintenance work.
o Develop and implement asset management strategies to manage the life cycle and performance of equipment and facilities.
o Collaborate with the finance department to develop and manage the capital expenditure budget for asset improvements and replacements.
* Leadership & Continuous Improvement:
o Lead and develop a small team of electrical and mechanical maintenance technicians.
o Provide ongoing training recommendations and performance feedback.
o A Adopt a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and teamwork with the maintenance department.
o Manage employee shift schedules to ensure adequate coverage for maintenance operations.
o Identify opportunities for improvement in maintenance process and equipment performance.
o Collaborate with production teams to implement process improvements that enhance operational efficiency.
* Safety & Compliance:
o Ensure all maintenance activities comply with H&s policies, HSENI guidelines, and environmental regulations.
o Work closely with the H&S Manager to conduct routine safety audits, risk assessments, and training to minimize workplace hazards.
* Budgeting and Reporting:
o Prepare and manage the maintenance budgets.
o Ensure cost-efficient procurement of maintenance supplies, parts, and service.
o Set up service contracts and renew when required.
Essential Requirements:
* Engineering Degree (Mechanical/Electrical)
* Minimum of 3 years' experience in maintenance management position
* Strong knowledge of maintenance processes, asset management principles, and CMMS Software
Desirable Requirements:
* Safety related qualification (IOSH/NEBOSH)
* Experience gained managing a budget
* Experience in a manufacturing environment
