We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated office assistant to join our busy team. The office assistant will work alongside our busy care navigation and administration teams, supporting them to ensure an efficient service is provided to our patients and the wider management and clinical teams.
This is a part-time position covering 24 hours across 4 days per week.
There will be a requirement for the candidate to work across all 3 branches.
Main duties of the job
The office assistant will provide efficient and timely administration support to the Operations Support Manager and busy teams in the smooth running of the practice. The main duties will include scanning, filing, photocopying, and data input.

Responsible to Operations Support Manager.
Job Purpose
To provide efficient and timely administrative support to the Operations Support Manager in the smooth running of the department.
Principal Accountabilities
1. Complete general day-to-day office tasks e.g. opening post, filing, photocopying, and data input.
2. Scan incoming paper documentation onto the Practice IT systems and move items into the relevant teams folder ready to be filed.
3. Maintain and process incoming and outgoing patient Lloyd George paper records.
4. Input new patient registrations onto the Practice IT system.
5. Maintain a sensitive approach to patient care, ensuring the maintenance of confidentiality at all times.
6. Carry out duties as per working policies, procedures, and protocols.
7. Complete any other duties as required commensurate with the grade.
The Practice is open from 8.00 am until 6.30 pm, with regular extended hours surgeries. It is expected that all staff will work on a rota basis, according to the needs of the service.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Level 3 education including maths and English grade C or above.
* Competent user of ICT systems.
Experience
* Knowledge of confidentiality, equal opportunities, and cultural sensitivity.
* Able to manage workload and manage own time.
* Working within a healthcare setting.
* Working knowledge of EMIS or other electronic patient record systems.
Personal Qualities
* Ability to relate well to others, patients and carers, staff, managers, and other professionals.
* Be flexible and able to adapt in allocation of work at short notice.
* Able to work as part of a team.
* Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines, and be able to work on own initiative.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
£11.75 an hour increasing to £12.00 per hour after 12 months.
