Main duties of the job
1. To assist the registered nurse in the delivery of high quality and person-centered care.
2. To provide fundamental nursing care, e.g., assistance with personal hygiene, eating and drinking, mobility needs, washing under direct or indirect supervision.
3. To carry out limited clinical observations and undertake a range of activities under direct or indirect supervision by a registered nurse, having been assessed as deemed competent in the activities required.
4. To maintain high clinical standards.
5. To help maintain a clean and safe ward environment.
6. To contribute towards the department and organisation in the provision of a safe and caring environment.
7. The post holder may be required to work anywhere within the Trust.

Person Specification
EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS
* Care Certificate in healthcare (Level 3)
* Willing to work towards Level 2 functional skills (Math & English)
EXPERIENCE
* Evidence of working in a busy environment
* Experience in a customer focused environment
* Previous experience in a health care setting
SKILLS, ABILITIES & KNOWLEDGE
* Ability to write clearly and legibly in English
* Ability to use a computer
* Good verbal and written English communication skills.
* Basic knowledge of health and safety with an awareness of the importance of following Trust policies and procedures
