This is a wonderful opportunity to work for a well-established maintenance company working within the social housing sector.
Our client is currently recruiting for a Project Manager. The ideal candidate would have worked in a similar role previously, ideally for a specialist contractor. The successful candidate will take control of refurbishment projects in London and surrounding areas, overseeing the project from start to finish and hand-over.
Key Responsibilities:
* General day to day running of the site.
* Carefully review construction plans and create a competitive schedule for the project.
* Oversee and manage other construction managers and supervisors as assigned.
* Ensure that all the needed materials, workers, and equipment are ready to work.
* Coordinate with contractors and construction workers to ensure that the construction tasks are completed on time and in the necessary order.
* Ensure that correct and safe construction practices are being used.
* Ensure all work is carried out to the required high standard.
* Liaise with residents and sub-contractors.
* Interact directly with clients, architects, and surveyors.
* Keep control of the budget and programme.
* Pay close attention that all job sites are in compliance with Health and Safety rules and regulations.
* Prepare and manage all reports needed for the completion of a project.
What our client requires:
* Experience delivering construction and refurbishment projects through multiple stages of the project lifecycle.
* Good understanding of the CDM Regulations.
* Ability to draft relevant documents for CDM compliance (CPP, RAAMS, COSHH).
* An understanding of Council or public sector procurement processes and regulations would be an advantage.
* An excellent communicator at all levels, with experience compiling and monitoring project budgets and managing diverse multidisciplinary teams.
* Good management and communication skills.
* Clean UK Driving Licence.
* SMSTS or SSSTS and First Aider Qualifications will be an asset.
