This is a key role within an already established organisation, headquartered in the South, and seeking to create a new North West base to better service its clients in the region. The role will lead, manage, control, the technical, quality, delivery and commercial aspects of Nuclear HVAC design and installation projects managing the client, and internal stakeholders, reporting accordingly. The day to day Overall project management of existing and new contracts and main contact for all project stakeholders (internal & external). Ensuring allocated tasks are conducted in a safe manner in accordance with applicable company procedures/policies. Over-all responsibility for on time, in specification and in budget project delivery. Supply chain management to ensure delivery on time, in specification & in budget. Preparation of project documentation to achieve client approval status. Engagement and management of internal support functions to ensure the project objectives are achieved. Provision of suitable and sufficient client liaison to represent the client project, and company business needs. Carry out any other reasonable request of the Management Team, Directors or Shareholders. To continuously represent the brand in a positive and proactive manner, yet recognising and proposing improvement opportunities where possible. Ensuring no activity is conducted that may put any person at risk, directly or indirectly or cause any damage or pollution to the environment. Overseeing the workload / resources of: - Graduate Engineer – Nuclear Projects Assist with sales / proposal on client discussion during bid / quote clarification phase. Assist with sales / proposal on creation and understanding of job handover / costing upon receipt of order. Liaising with the other internal Project Managers as necessary to feedback progress of contracts on a regular basis. Ensuring projects / packages stay within budget and all financial changes are tracked and highlighted back to company and sales forecast is achieved, or risks identified and dealt with / actioned in appropriate time. Key relationships Working closely with the existing, HQ located, Project Manager to ensure adequate manufacturing resource is available to execute projects and deliver finished products on time. Internal bid manager, design team. End client stakeholders, projects, commercial. Graduate Engineer Required skills and experience A degree in Mechanical Engineering, or Project management with a mechanical background. Or, an APM or recognised equivalent qualification, or time served. Previous Nuclear Management experience and a sound understanding of Nuclear Project Management principles. Ability to use MS Project, and Microsoft office suite, to successfully run and manage projects Strong communication skills at all levels. Excellent organisation and interpersonel skills. A background in design and manufacturing. Experience of working with with large OEM’s. Be willing & able to mentor in an effective manner. What next?
