Job Description Senior Clerical Assistant - PKC12210 £10,038 - £10,578 (14.4 Hours per week) North Locality Housing Team, Blairgowrie This part-time, permanent position of Senior Clerical Assistant within the North Locality Housing office is extremely busy and varied. The Senior Clerical Assistant is the first point of contact for customers both internal and external accessing our service through provision of reception services and answering telephone calls, managing generic email inbox etc. The Senior Clerical Assistant will provide administrative support within the locality housing team in relation to managing appointments, preparing documents, updating systems etc. This role places a strong focus on customer service. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual who has a flair for customer service, to provide administrative support for housing staff within the locality housing team in Blairgowrie. If you have an interest in housing this is an excellent development opportunity Working days within this role will be Wednesday, Thursday and Friday each week. The working Hours for this post is open to some limited discussion with the successful candidate, but we are looking for the contracted hours to be split over the three working days and it to fit in between 9.30am and 2.30pm This post might suit someone with childcare responsibilities or someone looking to step down their hours from full time to part time. This post will not be of a hybrid nature and will be office based for all of the contracted hours There is no requirement for a driving license and access to a car for this post. Requirements You must be an organised and structured individual, capable of prioritisation and working to tight deadlines, whilst being able to react as situations arise. You must have a commitment to providing a high standard of customer service, communicating well both verbally and in writing with an empathetic and non-judgemental approach. You must be competent in the use of all Microsoft packages, but specifically Word, Outlook and Excel and be digitally competent and comfortable in learning new systems. You must be able to work well within a team environment, but also using your own initiative and seek solutions to problems. You must be able to appropriately apply confidentiality when using and sharing information and have an awareness of the relevant legislation. You must be comfortable and confident in handling cash as there is a requirement to reconcile petty cash. You must be able to evaluate the significance and urgency of information received and take appropriate action. You must be friendly, outgoing and approachable, good at multi-tasking and a committed team player who can work well within a large team and be open to others thoughts and opinions.
