GSL Education are seeking a motivated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join a vibrant secondary school in Alton, Hampshire. This full-time opportunity offers a competitive salary of £17,500 to £19,500 per year (Based on your experience), with a start date available ASAP or from Easter 2025. A permanent contract will be offered upon successful completion of the probation period. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will provide essential guidance and encouragement to students, helping them overcome challenges and achieve their potential.
Responsibilities as an LSA:
* Provide in-class support to students, helping them engage with their learning.
* Work closely with teachers to reinforce lesson objectives and assist with classroom activities.
* Support students with various learning needs, ensuring they receive tailored guidance.
* Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment to help students build confidence and independence.
* Assist with small group work and one-to-one support where needed.
Requirements for the LSA:
* Previous experience in education, youth work, or a support role is beneficial but not essential.
* Transferable skills from care, coaching, or mentoring roles are highly valued.
* A patient, enthusiastic, and proactive approach to supporting students.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
