Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for overseeing the commercial aspects of site operations. Your primary focus will be to ensure the delivery of financial objectives through strategic commercial management and robust supplier relationships. You will engage with key stakeholders, support procurement processes, and manage contracts to drive business performance and growth.
1. Financial Objectives: Collaborate with the senior management team to ensure the delivery of financial objectives, aligning commercial strategies with overall business goals.
2. Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with relevant stakeholders to understand business strategies and provide expert support on contractual and commercial matters.
3. Contract Management: Oversee commercial aspects of contracts post-award, including detailed commercial and financial analysis. Validate detailed payment applications and ensure compliance with contract terms.
4. Procurement Support: Lead and support the procurement process pre-contract award, ensuring alignment with business needs and objectives.
5. Supplier Development: Develop and maintain a supplier base appropriate to the organization's size and complexity, mitigating supplier risk effectively.
6. Compliance and Standards: Ensure third-party suppliers and contractors align with our health, safety, environment, and quality practices and standards.
Required Background:
7. Qualified accountant or holder of a relevant degree in accounting or finance.
8. Experience in forming, negotiating, and maintaining strategic commercial relationships.
9. Strong procurement, contract management, and strategic supplier relationship management skills.
10. Demonstrated ability to manage a complex portfolio of Supply Chain contracts.
11. High degree of commercial acumen, capable of understanding complex commercial issues and driving negotiations to a successful conclusion.
12. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct detailed commercial and financial analysis.
13. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all organizational levels.
