Maintenance Craftsman Multi-skilled (Electrical Biased)
Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an electrically biased Craftsperson with a working background in electrical maintenance to join the Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust Estates team.
The Alex Estates team is a friendly team; our objective is ensuring the hospital is fit for purpose from an Estates perspective, ensuring patients have a safe environment to be cared for in.
For this post, we require the successful candidate to be experienced in the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of low voltage electrical plant and distribution systems, ideally (but not essentially) in a hospital environment. It will be advantageous if you have completed a recognised electrical installation/maintenance apprenticeship, though we will provide training for the right candidate. This might be someone who has experience in an electrical role but doesn't have the necessary qualifications listed in the person specification.
Our Trust offers a generous annual leave entitlement of 27 days per year, rising to 29 days after 5 years of service and then 33 after ten years of service. We offer a generous pension scheme and various other staff benefits such as the cycle to work scheme.
This is an excellent opportunity for a can-do individual with energy, drive, and enthusiasm, and we are very much looking forward to appointing a new Electrical Craftsperson to join our team and contribute to delivering the best service possible for patients and staff.
Main Duties of the Job
* Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and testing of hospital building services systems such as emergency lighting, fire alarms, nurse calls, standby generators, and fixed wire installations.

* Participate in the Estates out of hours Tradesman on-call rota, where you will be expected to work on/make safe mechanical equipment out of hours. As a result, it is expected that the successful post holder will become suitably cross-skilled.
* Participate fully in all relevant estates procedures and ensure completion of all necessary documentation in accordance with Estates Department policies.
