enfinium is leading the way in sustainable energy, and we're excited to introduce Kelvin, our latest state-of-the-art Energy-from-Waste (EfW) facility in West Bromwich. Set to be fully operational in 2026, Kelvin will process up to 395,000 tonnes of non-recyclable waste annually, generating up to 44MW of electricity—enough to power 95,000 UK homes while reducing landfill reliance and supporting a circular economy.
As we prepare for operations, we're looking for Assistant Plant Operators to join our growing team and help shape the future of this cutting-edge site.

What You Will Be Doing
As a Boiler & Auxiliary Plant Operator, your core responsibilities will include:
* Operating boilers and auxiliary plant equipment locally across the facility to ensure optimal performance.
* Assisting with plant operations during steady state, start-up, shutdown, and emergency situations as directed by the Plant Operator and Shift Team Leader.
* Ensuring compliance with the Environmental Permit and reporting any incidents or non-compliance to the Plant Operator and Shift Team Leader.
* Conducting routine plant inspections, making necessary adjustments, and collecting plant data for performance monitoring.
* Working in line with the company’s Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental Management Systems while adhering to all relevant legislation.
* Keeping accurate records of plant operations, activities, and events through a detailed log.
* This role requires working 12-hour shifts covering both day and night rotations, including weekends and bank holidays, with the potential for overtime or emergency call-outs as operational demands require.
What we are looking for
* Experience in an Energy-from-Waste or similar industrial environment.
* A practical approach to problem-solving with hands-on experience in engineering operations.
* Willingness and ability to undertake relevant training for the role.
