What you'll be doing We drive the fleet industry into the future At epyx, we specialise in eCommerce solutions for the automotive sector. You’ll be on the cutting edge of the Fleet Industry, working with our highly experienced Teams to deliver change across our suite of products. We’re situated 5 miles from Solihull town centre in the lovely surrounding countryside with excellent transport options from Coventry, Birmingham & Solihull. Our modern converted barns have fully stocked kitchens, breakout areas and a gym, and we are just a 5 minute walk from the nearby village centre and shops. About the role As part of our in house team of software developers, you will be directing involved in the design and delivery of our software applications and features for specific target groups and end users. Creating UX assets, design, prototypes and plans for our suite of software products, from initial brief through to final execution. You will work closely with the development team, QA and the product owners in an agile environment. This Designer must have strong knowledge of UX and familiarity of best practice web technologies and UI. You will help build and visualise our product roadmap in line with the business strategy and customer demand. In practice you will be using a range of specialist software tools to create workflows, specifications, and storyboards that clearly and concisely set out features that are useable, easy to navigate aesthetically appealing and engaging. This also mean engaging directly with users to better understand how they use the platform in their environment and business context. You will work with a wide spectrum of users from multiple backgrounds and organisation and need to communicate effectively and multiple levels. As part of the product team you will be creating innovative and engaging experiences that solve real problems and drive efficiencies and productivity in our customers’ business. Always focusing on customer experience and loyalty as well as brand management. Main responsibilities: New Feature Design and Specification Turn the business vision and customer requirements into workable prototypes and wireframes and clearly set out product development specifications using multiple approaches. Meet with internal and external stakeholders to gather information about their requirements Propose and sketch out a range of visual concepts both on paper and using software applications Create user personas, process maps and user journeys Find creative ways to solve UX problems Create lo-fi and hi-fi wireframes and prototypes using specialist tools such as Axure, InVision, as well as the Adobe product suite Work on cross-platform applications to develop user experiences covering mobile phones, tablets and computers Work collaboratively with other designers, product design and development teams, business analysts, engineers and project managers Liaise regularly with clients to ensure that designs meet their requirements and core business objectives Attend meetings to discuss and review progress on the project Run workshops for clients and internal stakeholders Conduct remote and on-site usability testing with real users to ensure the end-product design provides users with the optimum experience in terms of efficiency, effectiveness and engagement Redesign websites to make them more responsive Workshop Facilitation Facilitate Business Alignment, Ideation and Planning Workshops to drive engagement in product development with internal and external stake holders. Work with the development team to re-design applications and pages to make them more responsive. Build your design process with the whole team, and set out who you need be working with at each stage. User Research Conduct user research and obtain customer feedback Analysing user feedback and activity, and iterating to enhance the user experience Conduct usability tests on each independent type of page on the product and report on your findings Consulting with clients to understand their goals and explaining research results Conducting competitor and customer analysis Conduct competitive analyses of other applications that operate in the same space Prepare customer analyses based on our target demographic and initial transactions The role will predominantly focus on B2B UX design and so the successful applicant will have extensive experience in a B2B UX design role. The work is fast-paced and challenging, but together, we brainstorm, share ideas, work hard and aided with our can-do attitude, manage to push innovation boundaries and create world-class communication products for global clients.
