SEN Primary Teacher
Location: Havant
Salary Scale: £31,650 to £49,084 annually

About the Role:
GSL Education are seeking a qualified Primary Teacher for immediate placement at a school in Havant. This position will involve leading a small group of children with Special Educational Needs. The ideal candidate will be passionate about using a curriculum to support the children’s academic and emotional development while fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment.

Responsibilities of the SEN Primary Teacher Role:
Deliver differentiated and engaging lessons tailored to the individual needs of students with SEN.
Implement strategies and interventions to support learning, communication, emotional regulation, and social interaction.
Work closely with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, and external professionals to develop and implement EHCPs and support plans.
Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment that promotes resilience and confidence.
Requirements for the SEN Primary Teacher Role:
Hold QTS/PGCE or an equivalent UK teaching qualification.
Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD, SLD, PMLD).
Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
Patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for supporting learners with additional needs.

Have the right to work in the UK.
Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
