Job summary Cervical Screening Wales is responsible for the NHS cervical screening programme in Wales, and aims to reduce the incidence of, and morbidity and mortality from, invasive cervical cancer. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic person to join our team in North Wales as Screening Pathway Team Leader. The post holder will work as part of a dedicated team, supporting the cervical screening patient pathway and will assist Managers within the department and wider team. In addition to supervising and distributing the day to day work of the department, you will be required to provide efficient and accurate administration services in line with screening policies and procedures. This is a permanent full time position (37.5 hours/week), flexi time policy is operated within the team though service delivery must be priority with office cover required Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:00. If you are a highly motivated, professional with a strong demonstrable background in a supervisory role, with experience in data entry and administrative procedures, then we are keen to hear from you. Main duties of the job Supervise daily workload of the screening pathway administrators Monitor staff compliance to standard operating policies and procedures (SOPPs). Provide supervisory support and training to screening pathway administrators. Support the efficient operation of call/recall and failsafe functions within the programme. Implement changes to working practices as directed by the screening pathway manager/deputy. Ensure participants are managed appropriately and computerised data systems are updated for participant outcomes. Chair team huddle on a weekly basis and produce meeting notes. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
