Job Title: HR Advisor - FTC Department: HR Reports To: HR Business Partner Location: Gillingham/Hybrid Contract: 1 year FTC (Maternity cover) Overview: As an HR Advisor, you will support and assist the wider HR team to deliver support and advice to managers across the business, you’ll play a key role in helping achieve the HR strategy goals whilst being a first point of contact for many Team Schein Members (TSMs) around the organisation. With sound and trusted knowledge of good people practice, employment legislation and the employee lifecycle, the HR Advisor will work closely with TSMs, managers and other business stakeholders to guide, advise and support in accordance with our established people policies and procedures. This role requires excellent organisation skills, effective time management, the ability to build and maintain strong relationships and a people first attitude to business interactions. Job Responsibilities: Provide professional and credible support on employee relations matters to TSM and business leaders. Maintain and deploy up to date knowledge of relevant HR legislation that impacts our TSMs and our business. Ensure that our established policies and procedures are effectively communicated and followed for matters within the employee lifecycle. Completes contractual related business administration to ensure all TSMs receive accurate and compliant information related to their contracts of employment with the company. Partner managers with their talent acquisition and onboarding needs, offering support with talent searches and Workday onboarding processes in collaboration with the HR Business Partners, and HR Advisors. Assist with the development, deployment and adoption of HR strategic initiatives that increase the TSM experience. Support in the deployment of business training and development opportunities. Support with the coordination of team administration to ensure we deliver our strategic goals in a credible manner. Job Skills & Experience Required: To succeed in this role, you’ll need the following: Qualifications: Good standard of Education up to Full or partial CIPD qualification desirable Required Training or Qualifications: Henry Schein suite of compliance training upon commencement of role Skill & Experience: Sound working knowledge of employment law practices and legislation. Experience working within an HR generalist team, where it’s necessary to support on the delivery of all areas of the employee lifecycle without becoming siloed. Working knowledge of all aspects of the employee lifecycle, and competent in managing risks and the competing elements of the employee experience. Can confidently practice sound, evidence-based, decision-making approaches when it comes to people related matters. Proven persuader who has experience in influencing and leading business managers of all levels. An experienced organiser who can effectively manage the people administration tasks that are necessary with this role. An excellent time manager, with the ability to juggle competing priorities. Familiarity with Workday is desirable, but not a requirement.
