SF Recruitment are delighted to be working with an aqcusitive group of companies based in Dudley in their search for an Assistant Accountant. Reporting into a supportive and down to earth Finance Manager this is a great opportunity for someone looking to broaden their experience in a growing and ever evolving business. The successful Assistant Accountant will be tasked with supporting the Finance Manager with month end journal posting, intercompany reconciliations, accruals and prepayments as well as supporting with treasury management.
The ideal Assistant Accountant will have a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role and ideally be studying towards a recognised Accounting qualification. In addition experience with Sage 50 is highly desirable.
Role:
- Support with month end process including journals, accruals and prepayments
- Maintenance of the balance sheet invluding fixed assets
- Support with posting of transactions
- Intercompany of high volume of company bank accounts
- Support with year end
- Ad hoc accounting duties as required
Requirements:
- Working towards an accounting qualification
- Knowledge of Sage 50
- Good Excel Skills
- At least 2 years experience in accounting, ideally in a multi site environment
