Job Description:
Finance Officer is a highly motivated and detail-oriented role that plays a pivotal part in ensuring the efficient and effective management of Northumberland National Park Authority's finances. The Finance Officer will be responsible for various financial duties contributing to the smooth running of the National Park's operations.
* Key Responsibilities:
• Operation of the financial systems in accordance with legal, audit, and management requirements.
• Assisting in compilation of annual accounts and responding to audit queries.
• Assisting in the compilation of the annual budget.
• Monitoring and maintaining financial records relating to externally grant-aided and internal projects.
* Role Requirements:
• Qualification with Association of Accounting Technicians (or equivalent) or significant experience working in an accounts discipline.
• Numeracy and Literacy to GCSE level or equivalent.
• Advanced Excel skills.
Key Skills and Knowledge:
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to develop financial spreadsheets.
• Substantial experience in using a computerised accounts system.
• Substantial experience in operating financial ledgers.
• Experience of preparing and monitoring of budgets and preparation of year end accounts.
