We provide amazing opportunities for schools and their students through our experiential school expedition programmes in Africa, Asia and Latin America.
Our social enterprise not only allows us to provide life changing experiences to our travellers (their words, not ours!), but also make a real difference in the communities and environments we visit; which means the more successful we are, the greater the positive impact for the people and places we invest in. We believe that the success of our organisation begins and ends with people as demonstrated by our We invest in people, silver accreditation.
The Role:
Our Travel Support Team are an integral part of the wider Camps Team. We strive to provide an exceptional customer experience for all our schools and travellers, from the moment they sign up all the way through to their return home.
This is an office-based role, consisting of 3 key areas of responsibility:
1. Pre-departure Planning and Preparation: ensuring all schools and travellers are supported through their pre-departure journey and provided with the relevant information for their expedition. This includes responding to email and phone enquiries, providing fundraising support, booking flights, Expedition Leader management, building and sustaining relationships with key contacts and other administrative tasks as required.
2. Expedition Support: working with our teams overseas to ensure they have all the information they need, in a timely manner, to successfully deliver our expeditions. This aspect of the role will involve emergency phone support on a rotational basis and daily-report data entry and communication.
3. Post Expedition Feedback and Review: we’re always keen to learn how we can improve. Once our travellers have returned home, reports and feedback are collated and reviewed to ensure we maintain our high standards and enhance our expeditions where we can.
We’re a team here at Camps so you’ll also need to ‘muck in’ as and when needed to support other teams.
About You:
Our core value at Camps is integrity and we’re looking for someone who embodies this and brings it to their working life. We’re seeking someone who can work well within a small but fast-paced team and adapt to the dynamic needs of the company.
On any given day you could find yourself liaising with schools, travellers, parents, overseas crew or leaders. Therefore, the successful candidate will have fantastic communication skills and be able to adapt their approach in line with these varied audiences.
This role is perfect for a strong team player who enjoys multitasking and works well under pressure to meet deadlines. Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills are vital for this varied and exciting role.
The other great stuff:
Travel Opportunities – we believe the best way to support our customers is to experience our expeditions first-hand and therefore those performing over and above task are given the opportunity to travel to our destinations, visit our camps and meet our inspiring local crews.
If you think you’ve got what it takes to be a valued member of the Camps International team, please contact Jen with your CV and a brief summary about why you think you’d be ideal for the role.
