Director of Bioinformatics

Hybrid – 3 days onsite
This Cambridge based biotech have built a microbiome profiling platform, that supports drug discovery across a range of disease areas, including Oncology. You’ll join a well-established team tasked with developing precision microbiome medicines to improve patient outcomes.
We are looking for strategic leaders, who can drive bioinformatics analysis of the companies own clinical data and support the development of bioinformatics infrastructure. You’ll be leading an already established team, tasked with developing their microbiome platform and increasing their ML capabilities.
You need to be a thought leader, working at the intersection of Bioinformatics and microbiome analysis for a number of years. You’ll be tasked with translating the potential of the microbiome in delivering benefits to patients.
Ideally you will have:
1. Degree in relevant scientific discipline (Bioinformatics, Data Science etc)
2. Plus extensive post study work experience, ideally 6-10 years
3. Several year’s experience working with clinical microbiome data
4. Understanding of GCP
5. Exposure to transcriptomics and metabolomics
6. Ideally you will have lead teams developing platforms.
