We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity to join the Phoenix Futures team as a Deputy Manager at our Specialist Family Residential Service, Sheffield. The service has recently secured future funding which enables further opportunities in our staffing team.
We are recruiting for a Deputy Manager to join our Specialist Family Residential Service in Sheffield. The service provides drug and alcohol recovery support for parents and their children in a residential setting.
You will be leading and directing the therapeutic and night team to ensure the efficient delivery of the family residential rehabilitation service with emphasis on supporting residents’ transition to independent living within their community.
You will ensure that service delivery is in line with recommended professional good practice and Phoenix Future’s policies and that the reasonable expectations of funders and residents are met. You will maintain a recovery-orientated approach to all undertakings and a demonstrable commitment to continued professional learning & development of the service. As part of the management team, you will deputise for the Residential Service Manager as required.
Your team will support the day to day running of the therapeutic community, ensuring residents’ needs are met and the best possible care is provided in an environment that promotes a culture of recovery in line with a recovery orientated system of care. You will manage a structured programme which follows the Therapeutic Community method, specially adapted to suit a whole family supportive approach.
The hours are full time, Monday to Friday 9-5, based at the Sheffield Family Residential Service, and you will be expected to take part in an on-call rota to support the staff and service delivery. Flexible working can be considered.
The service is based close to Eccelsall Road/Sheffield Hallam Collegiate Campus area of Sheffield, it is easily accessible. Situated in a large Victorian Building, fully refurbished in 2022, there is free on-site parking as well and is also easily accessed by multiple bus routes.

To join us you will need:
* Knowledge of CQC expectations in a residential setting
* Experience of managing teams of internal staff in a substance use, health and social or mental health setting
* Experience or knowledge of working with families
* Experience or knowledge of working with individuals accessing substance use support/treatment
* Evidence of effective partnership working and the ability to network for the benefit of the individual/family and service
* Determined, with a drive to succeed and a willingness to learn
* Passionate and enthusiastic about making a real difference to the lives of people/families we support

* £30,500 per annum, starting salary with opportunity to access potential yearly salary increments subject to appraisal, meaning potential salary increase up to £36,000 per annum.
