Responsibilities: To carry out workshop and vendor audits Carry out a comprehensive R&R of regional maintenance locations Provide technical support & advice to Operations Manager & WSM. Carry out customer visits where required Carry out Quality re-inspections at customer sites where required To ensure all branches tooling registers are maintained monthly To ensure all workshop tool calibration / load tests are in compliance To deliver ALL EHS training and ensure all technicians are compliant Support WSL in setting maintenance policy & process Support WSL in identifying and implementing technician training with main manufacturer’s Regional ownership of Matrix – training support, issue resolution and compliance Work with WSL to deliver all maintenance projects To support recruitment of all workshop personnel, also attend interviews To ensure that TIP apprentices are developed in line with learning and business requirements To ensure adequate part stock levels are monitored and maintained To seek and implement cost saving & productivity initiatives Manage external supplier relationships Reduce vendors supplying own parts and inflated margins Ensure we have Vendor SLA’s signed and Insurance documentation is in place Support Ops / Sales teams on vendor issues. Vendor labour rate negotiation & communication of company policy. Consolidation vendors where it makes sense by region or area. Qualifications/Requirements: Previously experience at Regional Fleet Engineer management level or above Documented level of technical expertise and health & safety management Proven motivational skills and ability to energise people Recognized experience of managing multi-site, multi-team locations Excellent communicator with strong facilitation / negotiation skills IT literate and competency to analyse maintenance data Strong drive and commitment to achieving customer satisfaction Organisational ability and be able to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines Self motivated, able to work autonomously and have a ‘can do’ attitude Due to travel requirements, be currently living in the Southern Region TIP is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity in its workforce, encouraging applications from all qualified individuals.
