About the Role: This is an exciting opportunity to inspire young women to engage with the big questions of life and existence. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and thought-provoking RE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering students' understanding of the Catholic faith, its traditions, and its teachings, while also promoting respect for other faiths and worldviews. Key Responsibilities: Plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging RE lessons for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 in line with the National Curriculum and the school's Catholic ethos. Foster a love of learning and encourage students to explore religious and ethical issues with open minds and critical thinking skills. Develop and implement innovative curriculum initiatives that align with the school's vision and the latest advancements in religious education. Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and respected, regardless of their own beliefs. Build positive and supportive relationships with students, promoting intellectual curiosity and a respect for different faiths and cultures. Play an active role in the department, including contributing to curriculum development, assessment strategies, and departmental meetings. Participate in whole-school events and initiatives, fostering a collaborative spirit and contributing to the wider school community. The Ideal Candidate: A qualified RE Teacher with a demonstrable track record of success in engaging students and fostering their understanding of religion and belief. Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for RE, with a strong understanding of Catholic theology, scripture, and tradition, as well as an appreciation for other faiths and worldviews. Strong pedagogical skills with the ability to deliver innovative and effective lessons that cater to diverse learning styles. A commitment to high standards and the ability to create a positive, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills. A willingness to be part of a dynamic team and contribute to the ongoing development of the department.
