Are you a Registered Veterinary Nurse looking to develop or lead Nurse Clinics? Or do you have an interest in small furries? Are you looking to pursue a Certificate? If so, look no further; our practice in Bury St Edmunds has the perfect opportunity for you.
Ana Xavier, our Partner and Vet, is looking for a warm, confident RVN to join the team, and we’re waiting to hear from you.
About us:
We are located inside the busy Pets at Home store at Moreton Hall Retail Park where free, onsite parking is available. The practice is purpose built and is fully equipped with a full state of the art IDEXX lab (haematology, biochemistry, cortisol, T4, fructosamine and bile acids), capnography, blood pressure monitoring, pulse oximeter, v-gel and separate dog and cat wards.
The team sees a wide variety of cases with approx. 10% small furries, 45% cats and 45% dogs; a high proportion of these are insured clients. The team is experienced and established with very low staff turnover, comprising 2.5 Vets, 3 Registered Nurses, and a non-clinical team.
Performing acupuncture and orthopaedics onsite, in addition to holding certificates in small animal internal medicine, you can expect to be involved in a varied caseload.
Working Hours:
We are flexible in our rota offerings; however, we would be looking for somebody to work between 30-40 hours per week (split across 8 hour shifts or longer shifts 9h 15min with a day off in the week). You will work 1:4 Saturdays on a rota basis and no OOH! We work bank holidays but these are shared evenly between our Nurses.
Benefits we can offer you:
1. Excellent salary - starting from £13.25 p/h (dependent on experience, pro rata)
2. Generous CPD/Support to further your qualifications - certificate encouraged!
3. Pension scheme
4. Paid memberships (RCVS, VDS)
5. Great clients and lovely colleagues
6. Exclusive company discounts and rewards - including 20% off at Pets at Home, The Groom Room and the Vet Group.
