We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Assistants to join our Dynamic Team.
To assist Radiographers and other staff working with all sections of the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust Radiology Department as required.
To assist in the provision of high quality patient care for all patients attending the department, ensuring seamless delivery of services within the designated work area.
To provide high quality fundamental care to patients under the direction of a Registered Practitioner, providing assistance, individualised care and support to patients attending the Radiology Department.
To support the Radiographer(s) working at the spoke facilities through the provision of both clerical and technical assistance.
To carry out a range of clerical and administrative duties as required.
A development opportunity may be available for candidates who have not completed the CARE CERTIFICATE to start as a band 2 until the care certificate has been completed.

Main duties of the job
* The postholder will assist Radiographers, Consultant Radiologists and other staff working within all sections of the Radiology Department and its spoke facilities (to include Ultrasound, General X-Ray, Fluoroscopy, Mammography, CT and MRI) carrying out radiography-related duties, as required.
* They will contribute to the provision of high quality patient care for all patients attending the Radiology Department, ensuring seamless delivery of services within the designated work area.
* The postholder will carry out assigned tasks involving direct patient care, under the direction of a Registered Practitioner. To include supporting patients with personal care needs, and providing chaperoning support as required.
* The post requires full participation in the rotational shift system.
* The postholder is required to take accountability and responsibility for own actions, and to work within the CARE values of the Trust.
* The post requires completion of the Care Certificate.
