We are currently looking for an Account Manager or Senior Account Manager to join our collaborative, multi-skilled team. The role is full-time, permanent, and hybrid with 3 days per week in our London office at King's Cross. The Role Overview The Senior Account Manager (SAM) will be firmly on their way to becoming part of the management team, stepping into the shoes of the Account Director when required and starting to develop and demonstrate strategic thinking. The SAM will become increasingly responsible for growing and managing account team members, as well as playing an essential role in supporting the business and client base. The SAM will continue to refine and enhance their healthcare communications skills, taking a sense of ownership and accountability on all accounts and driving through campaigns to successful completion. Recognising the importance of the ‘bigger picture’, the SAM will be expected to develop their leadership skills as they grow in this role. Core Duties & Responsibilities: Oversee day-to-day management and implementation of multiple campaigns Leading client meetings/calls, challenging and negotiating with clients when needed Assisting the senior team with developing objectives and strategies, developing budgets, managing team workloads and servicing levels and evaluating results Taking responsibility for the financial status of accounts and overseeing client billing, ensuring profitability Completing quarterly staffing projections with the senior team Providing strategic, creative and tactical input to documents, including pitches, proposals and presentations Review, give shape, coherence and direction to all written materials and generate content for different platforms (Medical, media, client, social etc.) Line management including leading and motivating your team members, providing feedback, conducting regular appraisals and ensuring performance objectives are set Contribute to the management and handling of issues/crisis responses as appropriate You will bring: Previous account handling experience from healthcare advertising /PR /MedComms agency Up-to-date knowledge of the ABPI, PAGB codes, MHRA and other relevant international regulatory bodies Understanding of the NHS/ international health systems and broader health environment Leadership skills Excellent people management skills – managing performance, delegation and coaching Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent project and time management skills Ability to multi-task and work under pressure Financial management skills – budgeting Excellent negotiating and influencing skills Excellent editing and quality control skills
