The Belanger Ford Lincoln Centre Limited is seeking a Parts Manager to join our existing Parts Department. As the Parts Manager, you will be responsible for leading the parts team, have excellent knowledge of the parts catalogue, as well as ensuring that outstanding customer service is delivered. The Parts Manager will work closely with the Service Manager as well as the rest of the management team. Belanger Ford, "Where people make the difference".
Management and Leadership Duties
* Responsible for leading and supervising the parts team, including, but not limited to recruitment, orientation, on-boarding and training, assigning / directing work, managing time off requests.
* Monitor and evaluate the parts team members' performance and address performance issues as required.
* Attend monthly managers meetings.
* Ensure the profitability and effectiveness of the parts department, as well as strategize for sustainability into the future.
* Ensure company policies and procedures are followed.
* Collaborate with the Service Manager to ensure efficiencies and work collaboratively on continuous improvement between the two departments.
* Parts inventory management, planning and control.
* Sales tracking and reporting.
* Provide superior customer service both internally and externally.
* Oversee annual inventory count.
Parts Duties
* Keep parts price list up to date.
* Ensure parts ordering is done as required.
* Ensure cleanliness and organization of Parts department.
* Assist with shipping and receiving duties, as required.
* Process department purchase orders and ensure accuracy of department invoices.
* Manage wholesale clients.
* Assist team members with customers, in person and over the phone, as required.
* Process monthly parts returns.
* Responsible for core returns.
* Seek out new vendors, suppliers and manufacturers and negotiate terms and pricing for greater profitability.
* Handle customer complaints immediately and according to the Company's guidelines, forward all concerns to the Dealer Principal.
* Accept other responsibilities as requested by the Owner.
Job Requirements
* Automotive Parts industry experience preferable.
* 2 years prior managerial experience.
* Computer literacy, familiarity with MS Word and Excel preferred.
* Ability to competently and safely operate forklifts, dollies, shop tools, and other shop equipment.
* Strong oral and written communication skills.
* Strong organizational skills.
* Ability to comprehend, think effectively and react appropriately under pressure.
* Ability to effectively engage Customers and Staff.
* Willingness to assist other staff as appropriate and as workloads dictate.
* Ability to manage parts staff; work well with other Department, coworkers.
* Strong leadership ability and inventory management skills.
* Experience with parts data reporting, interpretation and pro-action.
* Ability to manage employees.
* Ability to increase department sales both wholesale and retail.
* Ability to develop relationships with body shops, aftermarket sales, parts stores.
