SCHOOL BUSINESS MANAGER

Band 6; Pts 23 to 25, £33,366 - £35,235 per annum pro rata
Actual salary £24,969 - £26,367 per annum
To start - June 2025 (or earlier if possible)
30 hours a week (6 hours a day); 9am to 3.30pm with 30 minutes lunch break for 41 weeks a year (Term time plus 5 inset days plus equivalent of 10 days during the school holidays over the year)
Awarded Outstanding in all areas by Ofsted in March 2023, Wellfield Infant and Nursery School is a highly inclusive and successful two form entry infant school with a 52 part time place Nursery and a Small Specialist Class for pupils with Autistic Spectrum Disorder and Social and Communication Difficulties.
The Headteacher and School Governors from Wellfield Infant and Nursery School are seeking a highly committed and professional individual to take on the role of School Business Manager.
The successful candidate will have significant experience in administrative/finance roles; experience of working in a similar role or in an administrative function in a school office is essential. Candidates will have obtained, be working towards or be willing to work towards a School Business Manager qualification.
The successful candidate will be expected to:
Support strategic leadership within school alongside the Senior Leadership Team and deliver financial support to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the school within budget and be effective in delivering the responsibilities and requirements of the post including but not limited to;
Line management of the office team
pupil, admission and attendance administration
data protection
finance
assisting in marketing and promotion of school
Human Resources
assisting with overseeing site management and health and safety
income management
pupil, staff and financial LA and DFE returns
safeguarding processes for visitors and contractors
undertake general duties as and when required under instruction from the Head or Deputy
