IT Support Technician Role in Swindon
We are partnering exclusively with a business in Swindon that is looking to recruit an IT Support Technician to join their growing Service Desk team. You will be responsible for providing 1st and 2nd line support to end-user queries across core desktop technologies such as MS365, InTune, SharePoint, and Azure AD. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to specialise in Cyber/Information Security, Networking, or Infrastructure.
The role involves a mix of Business As Usual (BAU) support and project work, supporting the organisation's modernisation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage all IT service requests through to resolution within agreed SLAs.
2. Provide 1st and 2nd line technical support via phone, remote tools, and email.
3. Install and configure hardware and software.
4. Operate and recommend improvements across all desktop technologies.
5. Support systems, software, and hardware including MS365 administration, InTune, Azure AD/Entra ID, TCP/IP concepts, and OneDrive.
6. Assist with IT governance, documentation, and security frameworks.
Skills and Experience
* Proven experience in Desktop Support or a 2nd Line support role.
* Strong troubleshooting and query triage skills.
* Ability to prioritise and manage end-user requests effectively.
The salary is up to £40,000 with hybrid working (3 days a week in Swindon after training).
