Our inclusive partner school in Bromley (BR1) is seeking a KS1/KS2 Teacher with a strong background in Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons for KS1/KS2 students, adhering to the National Curriculum.
2. Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with SEN, ensuring their specific needs are met.
3. Utilise a variety of teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
4. Monitor and assess students’ progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and staff.
5. Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters the academic, social, and emotional development of all students.
6. Collaborate with SENCO, teaching assistants, and other staff to support students with additional needs.
7. Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
8. Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school events as required.
9. Ensure the safeguarding and welfare of all students in your care.
Requirements:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
2. Proven experience teaching in KS1 and/or KS2.
3. Strong knowledge and experience in supporting children with SEN.
4. Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external agencies.
7. Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with educational best practices.
8. A valid DBS check or willingness to undergo one.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
