The Amazon Web Services Professional Services team is looking for Enterprise Service Managers (ESM) who are experienced Technology Consulting leaders to manage the sell and deliver relationship with one or more of our commercial enterprise organizations, develop a long term Professional Services strategy and execute that strategy with those accounts. The ESM is a trusted advisor for our largest and most committed customers. The role includes all aspects of business development, relationship development, delivery oversight and program management in those accounts. AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. Key job responsibilities This role involves developing long-term consulting relationships with C-suite customers. You will work closely with customers to understand their business needs and technology portfolio, then develop a tailored cloud strategy. This includes identifying opportunities, building business cases, deal shaping, pricing, and contract negotiations. You will be responsible for planning and overseeing the delivery of a portfolio of projects, mitigating risks and ensuring high-quality outcomes. Acting as the primary point of contact for customer executives, you will educate them on AWS services, translate these into business value, and inspire them with your vision. You will also coach customer and partner teams to be self-sufficient. This is a customer-facing role requiring some travel to client locations. About the team Professional Services engage in a wide variety of projects for customers and partners, providing collective experience from across the AWS customer base and are obsessed about strong success for the Customer. Basic Qualifications - Multiple years of IT consulting and management experience, with demonstrable business and technology transformation experience in customer-facing roles - Senior level executive engagement and advisory experience within the manufacturing, life science and FSI - Extensive experience managing large Industry vertical accounts, IT and business consulting (relationship management, achieving growth targets / sales quotas, high customer satisfaction achievement, project portfolio management, contract negotiations etc.) - Experience with contract and statement of work (SOW) development - Strong analytical capabilities, relentlessly thinking big, championing innovative customer outcomes Preferred Qualifications - Experience in developing end-to-end solutions for the Manufacturing or Retail and Wholesale industry: for example in Supply Chain, Connected factory, Sustainability - SAFe, Agile, and/or DevOps accreditation/experience a plus - Experience with large-scale enterprise system integration, including SAP, BI Systems, Oracle, and others - Experience with designing, building, and operating global IT organizations and infrastructures Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
