This role is relevant for a mechanical fitter with experience working on conveyor systems and automated machinery, willing to travel to sites across the UK 50% of the time, with the rest spent at our client's site in Manchester.
Job Description:
1. Perform timely and accurate service in-house and in customer's plants, including installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, or repair to inspection equipment.
2. Mechanical fitting of original equipment manufacturer machinery and conveyor systems, as well as any bespoke parts at the ICS workshop or onsite.
3. Maintenance and service of specialized line control and handling equipment.
4. Frequently work alone and unsupervised.
5. Manage multiple jobs simultaneously, utilizing both personal and directors' judgment to prioritize tasks.
6. Support other engineers in the build processes within the workshop and onsite.
7. Manage company resources through effective use and maintenance of equipment, tools, supplies, phones, and energy.
8. Installations onsite throughout the UK and Ireland, occasionally throughout Europe.
9. Ability to travel 70% of the time (domestic and foreign) to various unanticipated client sites.
Qualifications:
1. Higher national diploma/certificate or higher degree in mechanical engineering or an apprenticeship.
2. Good rapport and communication skills with customers.
3. Mechanical fitting experience working on conveyor systems.
4. Good project management skills to manage our European installations teams during larger projects.
