Acorns Children's Hospice Trust are looking for a Clinical Support Worker for Play at our Birmingham Hospice to have responsibility for planning and delivering play and activities for children and young people attending the hospice.
Main duties of the job
As a Clinical Support Worker for Play, you'll:
* Assist nurses in assessing the care needs of the children
* Liaise with the Matron to plan and deliver appropriate activities for children and adolescents of varying ages and abilities
* Develop, plan and evaluate play programs, activities and events
* Create opportunities within the hospice that support the education, learning and development needs of the children and young people
* Co-ordinate effective use of resources including gardens and sensory rooms
About the Role
At Acorns, we aim to make every day a special day for children who spend time with us at a hospice. We provide complex care for babies, children and young people, who have life-limiting or life-threatening conditions, both in our hospices and in their homes. Our Clinical Support Workers for Play are part of a supportive, multi-disciplinary team delivering care packages that are tailored to each child's individual holistic needs and are structured so that you'll simply have the time to care.
About You
* Care certificate or willing to work towards
* NVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care or equivalent
* Experience in a creative environment for children and young people with complex health needs

* £25,235 - £26,265 per annum. Enhancements for Saturdays (30%), Sundays (50%) and nights (50%)
