In this role you will work as part of a larger team to contribute to the delivery of our new and existing scientific and industrial instrumentation solutions. Curiosity and desire to learn - the projects are interdisciplinary. Strong collaboration and communication skills. Strong organisational skills to manage time effectively. Out of the box thinking to develop creative test ideas and methods. Ability to analyse test results data and draw conclusions. An understanding of different engineering disciplines, mechanical, electronic and software would be ideal. An understanding of concept design, CAD, prototyping, and testing. An awareness of systems engineering principles such as DFX, FMEA, and DOE., Currently enrolled in a STEM degree (Mechanical engineer, electronics engineer or similar) that offers an Industrial Placement Year. Right to work and live in the UK for the duration of the placement.
