Job Description

What we are looking for:
* Conduct in-depth due diligence on stocks for UK & European companies
* Maintain financial models and update research (using templates provided) as needed on existing holdings and watchlist companies
* Attend conferences and lead company meetings where necessary
* Conduct sector-based research including value chain analysis, profit pools and competitive dynamics
* Clearly communicate investment research consistent with strategy investment philosophies and process to colleagues, clients and other interested parties in spoken and written form
* Assist with ESG integration; providing proprietary research and analytical information to assess material risks identified on new and existing issuers in a timely fashion
* Support Product Directors and Fund Managers in preparation for client meetings and presentations
What you can bring:
* Experience working in a buy-side or sell-side research role
* Some experience of company research and experience supporting buy-side decision-making of portfolio managers
* Experience with Excel based financial modelling a must
* Experience writing and presenting company research
* Experience reading and analysing annual reports and other financial statements
* Knowledge of basic accounting conventions
* Experience building proprietary financial models from company filings
* Practical understanding of investments and risk management
* Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
* Ability to exercise good judgment in formulating investment opinions
* Hard worker, passion to perform for clients
* Strong passion for investing
* Intellectual curiosity and desire to learn and constantly improve
* Strong desire to work in a team environment
* Strong values which include humility and honesty
* Able and comfortable to work independently while being receptive to feedback
* Able to demonstrate high standards of numeracy and literacy with an excellent attention to detail
* Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships and professional connections
* Educated to degree level or equivalent
* (Working toward) CFA or other professional exams
