Job Purpose: Maintenance and optimisation of the circuit processing machinery and supporting New Product Introduction process

Key Duties:
Maintain Machinery : Ensure all circuit process machinery is operational.
NPI Support : Assist with New Product Introduction (NPI) processes, including reviews of Gerber files, BOMs, drawings, and CSVs.
Technical Assistance : Provide day-to-day support at production assembly areas, including fault finding and diagnostics.
Data Management : Maintain accurate data in the company's MRP system.
Safety Practices : Ensure safe working practices are documented and followed.
SMT Programming : Program and optimize Surface Mount Technology (SMT) machines, including feeder and nozzle selections.
Stock Management : Conduct stock checks and corrections for sub-assembly structures.
Machine NPD : Handle New Product Development (NPD) responsibilities for various machines, including programming and debugging.
DCR Actions : Manage Design Change Requests (DCR), including BOM updates and drawing releases.
FMEA & DFM : Participate in Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) processes.
Re-work Assistance : Provide hands-on aid with re-work processes.
Spare Parts Management : Manage machine and equipment spares.
Production Data Analysis : Analyse production data, such as first-time pass rates and AOI false calls.
Compliance : Ensure production builds and machinery comply with IPC Class 2 standards.
Consumables Control : Manage consumables stock.
Process Implementation : Implement and improve production processes, including SOPs and automations.
Documentation : Create and manage setup sheets, machine/library backups, and process reports.
New Part Review : Review new parts for correct footprints and potential alternatives.

Qualifications And Experience Levels:
Qualification in Production Engineering or other relevant subjects such as Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent qualifications)
Substantial experience in PCB manufacturing, including some experience in the introduction of new products
General knowledge of IPC 610
Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and safety conscious
