We are looking for an experienced and motivated professional to work with us at Bath & North East Somerset in developing the organisation’s approach to contract management. You will be the Council’s lead contract management professional, developing and implementing a contract management framework for the Council.

About the Role
As a Procurement Manager (Corporate Contracts), you will be a key member of the Strategic Procurement Team within the Resources Directorate, responsible for advising and supporting senior management and officers on all aspects of contract management activity within the Council Directorates.
About You
You will have significant contract management experience and will thrive in forming strategic relationships with senior management teams. You will have oversight of the organisation’s contract management strategy, best practice, guidance and training and will work to develop the commercial skills and governance around contract management with heads of service, commissioning managers and contract managers. In addition, you will manage and govern a portfolio of corporate contracts in order to drive increased value from the suppliers, mitigate commercial and contractual risk, and control and oversee spend.
You will be a proactive manager with a collaborative work style, you will lead by example, demonstrating a people-focussed, risk-based approach to contract management in support of council strategic objectives.
