Accountancy Recruit is partnering with a high-end manufacturer in the recruitment of a Part Time Finance Manager based in Witham. The role could start on a temp to perm basis if you are immediately available or permanent for those on notice. Part time would be 22 hours per week, either 3 full days or spread across the week, but must include Friday. The purpose of the role is to manage and deliver the accounts function for the business, working closely with the Managing Director.Duties - Manage internal financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems Manage budgets and prepare forecasting reports Analyse financial reports and present findings to the board Review company financial reports and advise on ways to reduce costs Analyse market trends to maximize profits and find expansion opportunities Identify risks, propose solutions and manage stakeholder expectations Research and report on business performance influences Prepare month end accounts / trial balance Prepare all payroll, VAT and HMRC returns Report on weekly cash flow Manage and oversee the purchase and sales ledgers Prepare monthly accruals, prepayments and accounting entries Manage audit processes of current systems in preparation for sending to the external Accountants Monitor financial details to ensure legal requirements are met Develop external relationships with Auditors, Solicitors, Bankers and Statutory organisations Drive continuous improvement of accounting practices Requirements and Skills Qualified AAT or Qualified by Experience Strong leadership skills to motivate and manage teams effectively Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey financial information to financial experts and other interested parties Good problem-solving skills to identify potential financial issues and develop effective solutions to address them Attention to detail to ensure financial reports and data are accurate and complete The ability to work collaboratively with other departments and interested parties to achieve common goals Flexibility and adaptability to handle changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong ethics and integrity to maintain high standards of financial responsibility and accountability Excellent time management and organisational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously Analytical thinking and data-driven decision-making to identify opportunities for improvement and make informed financial decisions Remuneration Salary £40-44,000 pro rataHours: 22 hours per weekHolidays: 20 days plus bank holidays pro rata, plus birthday, increased by one day per year up to 25 days.Pension: Auto enrolmentParking onsite.Office based.
