You will be part of a team aiming for an efficient and safe discharge of patients back into the community.
You will participate and ensure that staff within this clinical area deliver evidence-based nursing care, in line with trust policies and procedures.
You will take charge of the team in the absence of senior nurses to ensure the smooth running of the department.
You will positively encourage and support colleagues in maintaining and improving standards of quality practice and promote collaborative working partnerships between all members of the multi-disciplinary team.

Main duties of the job
The Discharge Unit aims to maintain a high standard of clinical work when carrying out nursing procedures.
You will be responsible for the safe custody of medication, including checking and administration. You will ensure compliance with our clinical governance framework, motivate colleagues, champion service user safety and dignity, and drive continuous improvement.
We therefore require an enthusiastic, highly motivated Registered Nurse with excellent communication skills.
You will be part of a team aiming for efficient and safe discharge of patients back into the community. Your role will involve ensuring everything is in place for a safe discharge home.
We are continually introducing and trialing new initiatives to streamline the safe and effective early discharge of patients; you therefore need to be open to change, and in turn, we will be open to fresh ideas you may have.
